Every Encounter Matters

At Wo.oW Travel, we believe that the most memorable part of travelling is often not just the places we visit, but the people we meet along the way.

Inspired by the Japanese spirit of Ichigo Ichie — treasuring every encounter — we strive to make every guest feel genuinely welcomed and valued.

To us, a walking tour is more than sightseeing. It is an opportunity to share stories, exchange perspectives, and create memories that stay with people long after their visit to Kyoto.

Our Guides Are Our Greatest Treasure
Just as we treasure every guest who joins our tours, we treasure the guides who bring those experiences to life.

We place great importance on maintaining open and honest communication with our guides. We take the time to listen to their thoughts, understand their perspectives, and discuss what we can do together to make Wo.oW Travel a better company.

We don’t simply want our guides to work for us. We want them to feel that they are an important part of Wo.oW Travel’s journey and growth.

Above all, we want every guide to feel genuinely happy and proud to be part of our team — and to look back on their time with us and say, “I’m glad I chose to work with Wo.oW Travel.”

We believe that creating an environment where our guides feel respected, appreciated, and supported is one of the most important things we can do for our guests.

When our guides enjoy what they do, their enthusiasm and passion naturally shine through, helping turn a simple walk through Kyoto into a truly memorable experience.

A Small Gift, A Meaningful Connection
Our belief in treasuring human connections is also reflected in a small gift we have begun sharing with our guests.

Working with local people in Kyoto, we have created handmade lucky charms shaped like plum blossoms, using the traditional Japanese art of mizuhiki.

Each charm is carefully crafted by hand, with time, patience, and heartfelt care for the guests who will receive it.
The delicate process of tying the cords together to create a single beautiful blossom reflects something deeply meaningful to us: the importance of the bonds we form with others.

For Wo.oW Travel, these little charms are much more than souvenirs. They are a reflection of our philosophy — cherishing every encounter and the connections that bring people together.

Through this small gesture, we hope our guests will take home not only memories of Kyoto, but also a feeling of the warmth and kindness that make human connections so special.

Growing Together, One Encounter at a Time
This belief in the importance of human connections has shaped the way we have grown as a small, locally based tour company.

We were honored to have our journey featured in an official GetYourGuide case study, sharing the story of our growth and our commitment to meaningful guest experiences and guide development.

For us, this recognition is not simply about business success. It is an opportunity to reflect on the relationships we have built — with our guests, our guides, and the people in our local community.

As we continue to grow, we want to remain a company where people feel valued, where guides and guests are equally important, and where every encounter is treated as something special.
Because at Wo.oW Travel, people will always come first.
