•Maiko wear make up with cuter red and pink tones. •Are only allowed to apply lipstick to their lower lip for their first year. •Hanging flower petal hair decoration also only for first year Maiko. • Wear a flat "Obiage" (a sash worn underneath the "Obi" belt. •A "Pocchiri" (A colorful belt buckle). •A "Furisode Kimono" (Long sleeved). •A thin red color cloth fabric worn underneath the Kimono called a "Nagajuban". •Wear "Okobo" or "Zori" on their feet. •Geiko wear mostly all white face make up with no color tones. •Apply lipstick to both their top and bottom lips. •Wear a tied "Obiage". •No "Pocchiri" belt buckle. •Short sleeved kimono. •Subtle colored "Nagajuban". •Wear "Geta" (Wooden sandals usually with 2 Blocks underneath) or "Zori" (Flat sandals traditionally made from straw) on their feet.
